Now Playing Tracks

1. Cut your hair every now and then. Fresh starts are always nicer than you think. Who needs split ends anyways.

2. Pick a song you really like. Listen to that song a lot. And I mean a lot. Dance around your room naked to that song, beat the song lifeless till it annoys the hell out of you. Then pick a new song and go through the same process. We all need to really hear music, we need to understand what the song we are listening to is really about.

3. Paint your toes black, make it as perfect as possible. Then, scratch it off. Remember nothing is permanent.

4. Go on a run with your dog. Try to race him and beat him. Realize you can out run many things. Then go back and pet your dog, realize that some things you need to go back for.

5. Decorate a plain backpack. Glue on sparkles, glitter, diamonds, newspaper and magazine clippings, lace & ribbon, anything else that may fancy you. Remember, you don’t have to be the same person you were a minute ago.

6. Buy some pretty lights and string them up in your room. Turn off all the lights except for one when you go to bed. Remember it isn’t always dark and lonely. Change your perspective.

7. Lay outside one night. Breathe in breathe out. Accept that you are only one person and cannot do everything at one time. You can take your time. The creator of the stars you’re looking up at did not do it all in one day. Pace yourself.

8. Get up every morning and stand in front of the mirror. Naked, fully clothed, backwards, upside down, who cares how, just do it. Observe yourself. Notice the wrinkles under your eyes from laughing a lot. Count your freckles. Admire your ass. Then name 3 things you love about yourself. You need to love yourself.

I just discovered this really awesome site.

It’s a site that lets you leave the things that are bothering you anonymously.
When someone chooses to “carry your baggage" they’ll get your submission, and send a song and a personal note to your email address through the site (it’s never shown publicly) that may help you with what you’re going through.
I think this is an amazing idea!
Don’t keep scrolling past this cause it’s actually worth checking out! :)

Ohhh. This is lovely. ;A;

This is me, my name is Kelli and I’m 17-years-old, battling cancer for the third time. I have less than a year to live and the only thing I want to do more than anything before I die is meet Ellen. She’s my sunshine. She’s the reason I wake up everyday and I watch her show every morning. She just radiates so much joy and happiness and she gives me hope. It’s really my dream to be able to meet her. Unfortunately, due to a long waiting list, the Wish Foundation told me I probably wouldn’t be able to meet her within my short timeline. But I see miracles happen all the time.. therefore I won’t give up on my dream. I thought that maybe if this gets enough attention, someone from the Ellen Show would come across it, or maybe even Ellen herself will know of me and my wish to meet her. Please, help me make my wish come true.

A psychologist walked around a room while teaching stress management to an audience. As she raised a glass of water, everyone expected they’d be asked the “half empty or half full” question. Instead, with a smile on her face she inquired, “How heavy is this glass of water?” The answers called out ranged from 8oz to 20 oz. She replied, “The absolute weight doesn’t matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If i hold it for a minute, its not a problem. If i hold it for an hour, i’ll have an ache in my arm. If i hold it for a day, my arm will feel numb and paralyzed. In each case, the weight of the glass doesn’t change, but the longer i hold it, the heavier it becomes.” She continued, “The stress and worries in life are like that glass of water. Think about them for a while and nothing happens. Think about them for a big longer and they begin to hurt. And if you think about them all day long, you will feel paralyzed - incapable of doing anything.” Always remember to put the glass down.

Hi guys! I’d like to take a break from my regular funny posts to tell you about one of my best friends Lauren. Shes beautiful, kind, sweet, and absolutely wonderful. The thing is, she has a disease called diastematomyelia, a defect where the spinal cord divides into 2 cords.

The doctors predicted that she was never going to walk again. She had to go through 3 neurosurgeries.  Even though the doctors predicted she’d never walk, she is walking! Now, you might be thinking “Well, your friend is a-ok! Whats this post about then?”

The thing is, Lauren wants to go to college. She wants to become a neurosurgeon herself and help other people. The problem is her mom is extremely tight on money. Her parents are divorced and her mother has to raise not only her, but her brother as well. Because of Lauren’s recent surgeries its even harder for her mother to juggle not only the cost of hospital bills but Lauren’s college tuition. Her father is an alcoholic who doesnt pay child support.

What can you do to help? Its easier than you think! She isnt asking for ANY donations. All you have to do is click a “vote” button. Dr.Pepper is holding a tuition giveaway. Theyre willing to pay up to $100,000 dollars in college tuition to the person who gets the most votes in this competition.

Please, CLICK HERE and vote for Lauren in this competition. It only takes a few seconds. If you cant do that, please signal boost this! Lauren is such an amazing person and it would bring me so much joy to see her be able to go to college so she can help out others in the future. Shes gone through SO much in her life, and just one second could make a huge difference.

Thank you so much for reading this.

This is one of the most haunting photos I have ever seen. It is hundreds of wedding rings that were removed from those in Concentration Camps.

I haven’t seen a single post on my dash about it being the remembrance day of the Holocaust today so I guess it’s up to me

This is sobering.

Too important a message to not reblog.

i cant handle losing a follower let alone a spouse omg
